Virginia Alice Pollard, 86, of Vero Beach, FL died Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at Indian River Estates in Vero Beach.
Mrs. Pollard was born January 22, 1923 in Boonton, NJ and moved to Vero Beach in 1981 coming from Parsippany, NJ.
Mrs. Pollard served in the United States Army Nursing Corp. during WWII. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Vero Beach.
She was the High School nurse at Parsippany Hills High School in Parsippany Hills, NJ for 25 years, and she was the Shade Tree Commissioner in Parsippany, NJ.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years John Beach Pollard, Sr. of Vero Beach, daughter Gail Pollard Campbell of Beverly, Mass., son John Jack Pollard, Jr. of Vero Beach, as well as four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services: A memorial service will take place Friday, April 24, 2009 at 10:30 AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Vero Beach. Burial will be in Vail Cemetery in Parsippany, NJ.
