Walter J. Arbutina's Obituary
Walter J. Arbutina, 81, of Vero Beach, FL and Springfield, PA died Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.
Mr. Arbutina was born August 19, 1927 in Freedom, PA and has been a winter resident of Vero Beach since 1990, coming here from Springfield.
He was a graduate of Geneva College and was a veteran of WW II, serving in the US Marine Corps. Mr. Arbutina had worked for Pennsylvania Railroad/Conrail and was involved with computer information systems implementation. He was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Vero Beach, Masonic Lodge in Rochester, PA and was a member of the Serbian National Federation.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Gwendolyn Arbutina of Vero Beach and Springfield, PA; and a sister Mitzi Arbutina of Freedom, PA.
Services: Memorial service will take place 2 PM, Sunday, February 15, 2009 at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Vero Beach, FL.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Florida Academy of Family Physicians Foundation, 6720 Atlantic Boulevard, Jacksonville, Florida 32211.
