Walter J. Dunn's Obituary
Walter J. Dunn, 66, of Vero Beach, FL died Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach, FL.
Mr. Dunn was born November 14, 1942 in Marblehead, MA and moved to Vero Beach ten years ago, coming from Revere Beach, MA.
Prior to his retirement he was an Inspector for the United States Postal Service for 30 years. He was a member of the St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach, the VFW, DAV, and the American Legions all of Vero Beach. He served in the United States Marine Corp for 12 years and was a recipient of three purple hearts during Vietnam.
Survivors include his companion Donna LoConte of Vero Beach, FL; mother Rita Dunn of Salem, MA; brother Jay Dunn of Salem, MA; and six step-children.
He was predeceased by his wife Janice Dunn.
Services: A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 26, 2009 at the Isles of Vero Beach in Magnolia Room.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson Association of Indian River County, 2501 27th Avenue, Suite A-8, Vero Beach, Florida 32960.
