Walter C. Jones Jr.

Walter C. Jones Jr., 81, passed away peacefully at Indian River Medical Center on December 27, 2012. Walter was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania in 1931 to Walter and Mary Jones Sr. Walter and his wife moved to Vero Beach in 1994. He worked as an Electrician in steel production for many years. Walter was a member of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach. In his later years he has attend Lakeside Fellowship in Vero with his daughter. Walter leaves to cherish his memory his sons Walter of Charlotte, NC; son Joseph Theodore of York, PA; Herbert George of Elkton, MD; Andrew James of Johnstown, PA; and daughters Rose Mary Parkinson of Sebastian, FL; Jennifer Joyce of York, PA; 17 grandchildren. He is predeceased by his wife of 46 years Leona Rose in 2009; and son Bernard John in 2008. Friends and family will celebrate Walter's life on January 2, 2013. A gathering will be from 6pm to 7pm with a Memorial Service at 7pm at the Lakeside Fellowship Church. An inurnment will take place at a later date in South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made in Walter's memory to Lakeside Fellowship Church 8000 66th Avenue Vero Beach, Fl. 32967.
