Walter John Krolman, Jr, 94 of Vero Beach, passed away on May 6, 2016 at Indian River Medical Center.

Born in New York on February 11, 1922 to Elizabeth and Walter John Krolman, Sr, he had grown up in Flushing, NY and graduated NYU with a Master's Degree in Education.

Walter served as a Captain in the US Army Air Force in the U.S. - Pacific - Japan Occupation from 1942 - 1946.

He married Muriel Bunyan in 1949 and lived in East Meadow, NY for 52 years where they raised 4 sons.

His teaching career spanned over 34 years teaching Industrial Arts in the public schools in the New York City Board of Education retiring in 1980. He was an accomplished woodworker and cabinet maker.

Walter had been a resident of Vero Beach since 2004, coming from Long Island, NY.

Preceded in death by his wife Muriel in 1987 and his son John Robert in 2011, he is survived by his sons, Walter James (Mary Ellen) Krolman of Washington, DC, Michael Anthony Krolman of Vero Beach, FL and David William (Sarah), Krolman of Highland, IN, and; grandchildren, Walter Charles, Franz Peter, Sonja Lee, John Christian, Dawn Marie, Michael Brandon, Kristin Mary, Andrew David; Six great-grandchildren; sister, Anne Schramm of Annapolis, MD and daughter-in-law Diana Krolman of Palm Coast, Fl.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 PM, Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at St. Helen Catholic Church. Military Honors will follow. Internment will take place at Holy Rood Cemetery in Westbury, New York on June 13.
