Walter T. Labore, 94, of Vero Beach, FL died Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
Mr. Labore was born April 29, 1916 in Manchester, NH and moved to Vero Beach 10 years ago coming from Stamford, CT.
He had a long and distinguished career at Pitney Bowes of Stamford and Norwalk, CT, where he was noted for many achievements and patented inventions. He retired in 1983 as a manager of Special Projects.
Survivors include his three daughters, Joan Sandow of Pisgah Forest, NC and Vero Beach, FL, Diane Labore of Meriden, CT and Carol Labore of New Haven, CT; two sisters, Doris Harrington of Manchester, NH and Florette Doepker of Cincinnati, OH; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and longtime companion, Patricia Anwyl of Vero Beach.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel (Lane) Labore and his son, Walter Walter T. Labore Jr, both of Stamford, and his brother, Gerald Labore of Manchester.
Services: A visitation will be Monday, June 28th from 5-8 PM at the J.N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home (603-625-6436), 110 Bridge Street, Manchester, NH. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 29th at The Parish of the Transfiguration Church in Manchester followed by burial at Mount Calvary Cemetery. A memorial service will be held in Vero Beach at a later date.
