Walter J. Leclair's Obituary
Walter J. LeClair, 73, died Thursday, January 7, 2010 at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.
Mr. LeClair was born November 17, 1936 in Glens Falls, NY and moved to Vero Beach in 1996 from Burnt Hills, NY.
He received his Bachelors degree from Siena College in Albany, NY and his Masters from the University of Albany. Mr. LeClair had been a principal in middle school and high school in Schnectady, NY retiring in 1992. He then went to Northeast Parent and Child as a Director. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the US Navy.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Mary Ann LeClair of Vero Beach; daughter Jackie Myers of Mechanicville, NY; son Marc LeClair of Clifton Park, NY; son Matthew LeClair of Rexford, NY; and five grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a sister Barbara Moody.
Services: The family will receive friends 8:30-9:30 AM, Monday, January 11, 2010 at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home. A mass will be celebrated 10:00 AM, Monday, January 11, 2010 at St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach with military honors presented by VFW Post 3918.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Indian River Food Pantry, 2226 15th Avenue, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
