Wanda Irons Stedelin, 85 of Vero Beach, Florida died Friday, June 21, 2013 at Indian River Medical Center.

She was born October 9, 1927 in Essex, Missouri and had been a resident of Vero Beach for 30 years, coming from St. Louis, Missouri.

She was of the Christian faith. She was a member of the Needle Nippers, Vero Beach, where she crocheted the premie baby blankets for neonatal units across the country.

Prior to retirement, Ms. Stedelin worked as a secretary for the Vero Beach Police Department's Detective Division.

She is survived by her son, Timothy (Liz) Stedelin of Crystal City, MO; daughters, Marla Brady of Peoria, IL, Karen L (Jim) Patrick of Port Saint Lucie, FL and JoAnn (Ron) Goehler of Ballwin, MO; sister, Mary Ulen of Missouri; 7 grandchildren, Sara Pedreira, Amy R. Craighead, Chaz Blackwell, CJ Patrick, Bryttany Stedelin, Joseph Stedelin and Sydney Goehler and 8 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 11am, Saturday July 27th at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home & Crematory, Vero Beach.
