Wayne Lambert, 72, of Vero Beach, FL, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at VNA Hospice, Vero Beach, FL. Wayne was born in 1942 in Needham, Massachusetts to Elsie and Rufus Lambert. He was the youngest of three sons. As a young child he moved to North Andover, Massachusetts, where he attended school. After graduating high school he attended ITT Technical School in Wilmington, Massachusetts, where he learned his skills in quality control.
Wayne leaves behind his wife Carol of 47 years, his daughter Andrea Darwent of Vero Beach, FL, and son Greg Lambert of Grand Rapids, Michigan. He also leaves three beloved grandchildren, Zachery, Charlie and Mickey, who all live in Vero Beach, as well as nephews and nieces in Pelham, NH and Brownwood, Texas.
Wayne was married in 1968 in Haverhill, Mass and worked at Honeywell in Lowell, Mass, for ten years until he moved to Florida in 1978, where he was employed at Pratt & Whitney in West Palm Beach for 21 years.
Since he moved to Vero Beach he has been a faithful member of Vero Beach Alliance Church . In his early adult years Wayne played trumpet professionally on weekends and for weddings and celebrations. He also played trumpet, later on in life, in a church orchestra at the First Baptist Church in Tequesta, Florida.
There will be a Memorial Service for Wayne on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at 6:00pm at Vero Beach Alliance Church, 43rd Avenue, Vero Beach, FL, 32960.
