Wayne R. Underwood, 68, of Vero Beach, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2013 at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.
Mr. Underwood was born August 30, 1944 in Gary, Indiana. He had been a resident of Vero Beach for 13 years, coming from Crown Point, Indiana.
He served in the United States Naval Reserves for 4 years.
Prior to his retirement he worked as an electrician for over 30 years in Hammond, Indiana, and was a member of the Local 697. He was also a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Barbara J. Underwood; daughter, Kelly (Rob) Coplen of Norfolk, Virginia; son, Brian Underwood of Holland, Michigan; sister, Jackie Servaty of Portage, Indiana; granddaughter, Chloe Coplen.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
