IRIZARRY, WILFREDO

Wilfredo Irizarry, 72, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, died December 13, 2013 at his home.
Born in San German, Puerto Rico, he was a resident of Port Saint Lucie for 7 years, coming from New York City, where he previously resided for over 50 years.
A Veteran, he served in the United States Army in Germany, during the building of the Berlin Wall.
Prior to his retirement, he was the owner/operator of Parkchester Beautician and Barber Supply in Bronx, New York for more then 35 years.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Mary Queen of Peace Chapter in the Bronx, as well as a member of Saint Dominic's Catholic Church in the Bronx, where he was President of Holy Name Society. Locally he attended Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Port Saint Lucie.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 36 years, Victoria "Vicky" Irizarry, of Port Saint Lucie; 3 sons, Miguel Mateo, of Queens, New York, Wilfredo Irizarry, Jr., and Luis Irizarry, both of the Bronx; 1 daughter, Jenice Toledo, of Ardsley, New York; 3 brothers, Mario Irizarry, Jose A. Ortiz, and Juan Ortiz, all of Puerto Rico; 2 sisters, Blanca N. Irizarry, of New Windsor, New York, and Ada Velasquez, of the Bronx; and 7 grandchildren, Miguel Mateo, Jr, Alexandra Irizarry, Briana N. Toledo, Luis Irizarry, Jr., Nicholas Toledo, Sarah Mateo, and Xavier Irizarry.
A Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 18, 2013, from 9:00am to 12:00 noon, at the Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home & Crematory, 950 SE Monterey Road, Stuart, Florida 34994. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00pm at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 930 SW Tunis Avenue, Port Saint Lucie, where Military Honors and Presentation of the Flag will follow the Mass.
Interment will take place in Puerto Rico at the convenience of the family.
