William V. Brady, 92, of Vero Beach, FL died Saturday November 13, 2010 at Royal Palm Convalescent Center in Vero Beach.
Mr. Brady was born September 29, 1918 in New York, New York and moved to Vero Beach in 1986 from North Bergen, New Jersey.
He had served as the Town Clerk and Commissioner for the town of North Bergen and had been a realtor prior to his retirement.
He was a Purple Heart recipient and a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army under General Patton. Mr. Brady was a member of the VFW and the DAV.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Catherine Brady of Vero Beach, daughter and son-in-law Linda and John Pepe of Oradell, New Jersey, 2 grandchildren, Brian (Kelly) Pepe of Hoboken, New Jersey, and Laura William Rupp of River Edge, New Jersey, and a great-granddaughter, Margaret Pepe of Hoboken, New Jersey.
He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, James, Charles, and Thomas Brady.
Services: The family will receive friends at 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach followed by Mass at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach. Interment will be in the Mausoleum at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Ft. Pierce with military honors by VFW Post 3918.
