Obit: William O'Dell Graves Sr.

William O'Dell Graves, Sr., 76, of Vero Beach, FL died Saturday February 11, 2012 at his home.

Mr. Graves was born November 28, 1935 in Faceville, Ga. He was a resident of Vero Beach,FL for 26 years, coming from Sorrento, FL.

He served in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict.

He was a member of Riverview Baptist Church.

He belonged to Sons of Confederate Veterans and was a member of the Hibiscus Club.

Prior to retirement he was an inspector for the State of Florida Department of Agriculture for 30 years.

He is survived by his wife of 55 ½ years Loretta Graves of Vero Beach, FL; son Charlie Graves of Vero Beach, FL; daughter Delilah Graves of Vero Beach, FL; brother Royce (Cherry) Graves of Murrayville, GA; sister Iris (Lacy) Allen of Summerville, SC.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at 11am at Riverview Baptist Church, Fort Pierce, Florida with Rev. Paul Tipton officiating. Full military honors will follow. Burial will be in Kenansville Cemetery.

He is preceded in death by his son William Graves, Jr and daughter Deborah Graves.
