William Crook Habbersett, 87, of Vero Beach, FL died Friday, October 10, 2008 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
Mr. Habbersett was born June 29, 1921 in Baltimore, MD and moved to Vero Beach fourteen years ago from New Brittain, CT.
He had been an Overseas Salesman for the New Brittain Machine Company before his retirement He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Vero Beach and a veteran of WW II, serving in the US Army in New Guinea.
Survivors include his wife Edith Wren Habbersett of Vero Beach; stepdaughter Candace Hahs of Cape Girardeau, MO; stepson Cary Wren of St. Louis, MO; four step grandchildren and seven step great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his first wife Bertha Habbersett.
Services: A memorial celebration will begin at 10:30 AM, Monday, October 13, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church in Vero Beach with a reception following. Interment will take place at the memorial garden of the First United Methodist Church in Vero Beach.
