William Joseph Higgins, Sr., 75, of Stuart, FL died Monday, June 1, 2009 at his residence.
Mr. Higgins was born January 9, 1934 in Pittsfield, MA and moved to Stuart 15 years ago from Pittsfield, MA.
Prior to his retirement he had worked for the City of Pittsfield in Pittsfield, MA in the Sewer Department for 15 years He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Navy and was an American Legion Lifetime member in Pittsfield, MA. Mr. Higgins was also a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Survivors include his son William J. Higgins, Jr of Rome, NY; daughters Denise Cravish of Stuart, FL and Donna Bass of Palm City, Fl; fianc Juanita Adorno of Stuart, FL; sister Mary Hagadorno of Pittsfield, MA; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services: A memorial service will be held 12:30 PM, Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at South Florida National Cemetery in Lakeworth, FL.
