Obit: William F. Hildenbrand
William F. Hildenbrand, 89, of the Town of Orchid Island, FL died Thursday, July 21, 2011 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach, FL.
Mr. Hildenbrand was born November 28, 1921 in Pottstown, PA and moved to the Town of Orchid Island 16 years ago from Washington, DC.
He was a veteran of WW II, serving in the US Army. Mr. Hildenbrand had worked in the US House of Representatives, the US Senate and served as the Secretary of the Senate from 1981-1985.
His survivors include his wife Shirley Herath; children Jerri Davis, Sherri Curcio, Pam Bozick, Mark Herath, Joe Herath, Doug Herath and DeeDee McMeans; a sister Jane Shiller; fifteen grandchidren and six great-grandchildren.
Services: Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
