William B. Reirden, 82, of Port Saint Lucie died Sunday, May 20, 2012 at the Saint Lucie Medical Center.

Mr. Reirden was born July 4, 1929 in Bronx, NY. He had been a resident of Port Saint Lucie since 2001, coming from Lake Worth.

He served in the United States Army.

Prior to his retirement he worked for the Bellsouth Telephone Company, and later as a meat cutter in the grocery industry.

He was an outdoorsman who had an appreciation for nature.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Tecla; sons William L. Reirden of West Palm Beach and Robert K. Reirden of Port Saint Lucie; and one granddaughter.

Services will be held at a later date. Interment will take place at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth.
