William Bill Irving Scott, 81, of Vero Beach, Florida got his angel wings on April 10, 2024. He passed away peacefully in his home with his daughter by his side.

Bill was born September 9, 1942 in Syracuse, NY to the late Irving Scott and Ruth Roberts of Syracuse, NY. After high school Bill enlisted in the United States army where he served his time in Munich, Germany until 1963. Shortly thereafter, Bill married and started a family in Syracuse, NY. He mostly spent his life working as a carpenter. He loved building things, making things and tinkering. If it was broke, he could fix it.

In the late 1980's, Bill relocated from Syracuse, NY to Vero Beach, FL where he found and married (1989) the love of his life, his partner forever.

Bill is predeceased by his wife, Shirley Elizabeth Scott & his daughter, Melissa Ann Scott Carrera.

Surviving is his daughter, Tammy Lynn Holman and son-in-law Ronnie C. Holman of Meridian, Mississippi; two step-sons, Andrew Price of Vero Beach and James Price and his wife Melissa Price of Vero Beach, FL; & one step-daughter, Lori Price of Tennessee. Bill has several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for anyone who would like to donate to please donate to the VNA Hospice of Treasure Coast . They have done a wonderful job and we are grateful for their time and service dedicated to taking care of William Scott.
