William "Bud" C. Sherwin, 86, of Fort Pierce died Sunday, June 24, 2012 at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.
Mr. Sherwin was born May 3, 1926 in Queens, NY. He had been a resident of Fort Pierce for 26 years, coming from Northport, Long Island, NY.
He served in the 10th Armored Infantry Division during WWII in the United States Army. He received the Bronze Star. He was a former member of the VFW.
He retired from the Long Island Lighting Company as an Equipment Operator after 36 years of service.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years Marie, and many special nieces and nephews.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, July 2, 2012 at Saint Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach. Inurnment will follow at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL.
