William Elwood Stratton, 87, of Stuart, FL died Friday, October 9, 2009 at the Hospice House in Stuart, FL.
Mr. Stratton was born September 14, 1922 in Bryn Mawr, PA and moved to Stuart six years ago from Annapolis, MD.
A graduate of Earlam College, he was an Executive for the Red Cross and was assigned to Vietnam during the Tet Offensive. He was also assigned to many domestic natural disasters and also served in Algeria along with other International Red Cross stations in Europe and Africa. He was a member of the Unity Church in Stuart, enjoyed sailing and was a veteran of WW II, serving in the US Army Air Corp.
Services: No services are planned locally, interment will take place at Eglinton Cemetery in Clarksboro, NJ.
