Obit: William James Valyo
Bill Valyo, 80, of Vero Beach, FL died Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
Mr. Valyo was born January 19, 1931 in Trenton, NJ and moved to Vero Beach in 1992 from Bucks County, PA.
He had been a Professional Entertainment Promoter a Sports and Social Columnist for the Sebastian Sun and other area newspapers including the Press Journal. Mr. Valyo was a member of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach and a Fourth Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus, chapter Our Lady of the Rosary #13153. He served as Chairman of the St. John of the Cross Building Committee. He was a member of the Trenton Scroths American Legion Baseball World Championship team of 1948.
His survivors include his wife of 59 years Miriam Valyo of Vero Beach; daughters Stephanie Hainsfurther, Nancy Haley and Amy Baker; son Bill Valyo and six grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son Michael Valyo, his parents, four brothers and three sisters.

Service: A Mass will be celebrated 11:30 AM, Saturday, February 12, 2011 at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach. Interment will be at St. Marys Cemetery in Trenton, NJ at a future date.
