William "Bill" Wagner, 95, of Vero Beach passed away on Friday, November 16, 2012 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
Bill was born in 1917 in Bellefontaine, OH. He had been a resident of Vero Beach since 1952, coming from Columbus, OH.
He served in the United States Army during WWII in the European Theater. He fought at the Battle of the Bulge, and was also stationed in Northern Africa, Italy and France.
Prior to his retirement he worked as an entomologist for 35 years.
Survivors include his daughters Ruth A. Jacobs, Carolyn Edsall Toohey both of Vero Beach; sons Dr. Don Wagner of Vero Beach, David W. Wagner of Fountain Valley, CA, Dick Wagner of Helen, GA; daughter Nancy Wagner of Hollywood, FL; brother Charles F. Wagner of Kannapolis, NC; fourteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Ruth Margaret Wagner.
Services: A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 19, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Fort Pierce, FL.
