Obit: William F. Winch
William F. Winch, 91, of Vero Beach, FL died Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
Mr. Winch was born September 24, 1919 in Angola, NY and moved to Vero Beach in 1996 from Ft. Pierce, FL.
He had been an engineer at Chevron Corp. prior to his retirement and had served in the Merchant Marines during WW II. He was a member of the Indian River Woodcarvers, a licensed pilot and manufacturer of custom knives.
Survivors include his wife Nancy Ann Noble-Winch of Vero Beach; daughters Valencia Waggle of Vancleaves, MS and Nola Leclair of Hudson, FL; sons William Winch, Jr. of Winter Haven, FL, Michael Winch of Holly Hill, NC and Thomas R. Winch of Los Angeles, CA; stepsons Richard Ristau of Vero Beach and David Ristau of Troy, NY; step-daughter Linda Foley of Hingham, MA; eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
