Obit: William Bill Curtis Woodson
William Bill Curtis Woodson, 84, of Vero Beach, FL died Sunday, July 31, 2011 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
Mr. Woodson was born January 7, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Vero Beach eight years ago from Eastchester, NY.
He attended Princeton University and received his Doctorate of Law from Columbia University Law School. He was a Judge for Blue Cross/Blue Shield of New York, a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and the Committee on Professional and Judicial Ethics. He had been a Lawyer and Partner for the law firm of Sherpick, Hollister & Davis in New York City. He was also a member of the Treasure Coast Assembly of God in Vero Beach and Phi Gamma Delta.
Through the years, Bills faithfulness and service was recognized by churches he attended where he served in positions such as trustee, treasurer, adult Sunday school supervisor, bible study teacher, organist and Christian school board member.
Survivors include his wife Hilda; two sons William and Woody; daughter Sally; stepsons Paul and Steven; stepdaughters Laura and Denise; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife Frances Turner and brother Robert D. Woodson.

Services: His Life Celebration Service will take place 6 PM, Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at Treasure Coast Assembly of God in Vero Beach with Pastors Randy and Peggy Williams officiating.
A Life Celebration Service will also take place 10 AM, Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Congregation of the Messiah, 26 Cameron Place, Tuckahoe, NY 10707, Bishop Bill Woodson, his son, officiating with luncheon to follow.
