Willie (Gene) Poole, 77 of Vero Beach, passed away on April 29, 2015 at Orlando Regional Medical Center. He was born Sept, 19, 1937 in Adrian, GA to the late Alice and Willie Poole

Gene was in the US Army, serving in the 82 Airborne Division and very proud to have served his country. He was a God fearing man who loved to tell you about his experience with the Lord. His favorite scripture was one that he truly lived: (Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new. He never missed an opportunity to tell you about his children and how proud of them he was.

Gene was employed at Piper Aircraft for several years, retiring from there.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Helen Poole; daughter, Teresa Peters and her husband, Mike; son Tim Poole; 3 granddaughters, Christina Boyce, Rachel Fjeld and Jessie Poole; 4 great grandchildren, Noah, Jonah and Irland Boyce and Ezra Fjeld.

An inurnment with Military Honors will take place at 11:00 Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Crestlawn Cemetery in Vero Beach, FL.
