Willifred Billy Schrecongost, 90, of Vero Beach, FL died Monday February 28, 2011 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
Mrs. Schrecongost was born March 24, 1920 in Ashton, SD. She was a resident of Vero Beach for 20 years, coming from Long Island, NY.
She was an Army nurse during WWII. After the war she continued her career as a Public Health Nurse & School Nurse.
Mrs. Schrecongost was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Vero Beach.
Willifred is survived by her husband, George; daughters, Carol Duffy of Bayport, NY, Linda Terry of Patchogue, NY; sons, Lyle Schrecongost of Long Island, NY, Brent Schrecongost of Vero Beach, FL; sisters, Helen Carr & Marian Beardsley both of Colville, WA. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Siegel; parents, Blinn & Harriet West; sister, Bea Hesseltine; brother, Donald West.
A memorial services will be held at 1:30 PM on Monday, March 7, 2011 at the First Presbyterian Church of Vero Beach.
